On Thursday 25 March we will publish tickets both for the domestic long distance day trains and VR's commuter trains for the period May 3 - June 6 2021. Tickets for the night trains are available until 11 December 2021.

The renovation of Tampere’s railway station area will cause changes to train traffic during weekends in spring 2025. Day trains will be replaced by buses between Tampere and Seinäjoki, Tampere and Pori and Tampere and Parkano. The track work will also cause changes and cancellations in night train traffic.

From March 3rd, we will implement a more uniform service fee for ticket sales. The changes will affect our ticket vending machines, commuter tickets sold at R-kioskis, and our phone service. We will also reinstate service fees for ticket sales points. The service fees for ticket sales points were temporarily removed due to a system update in 2023. No service fee will be added to tickets purchased from vr.fi or the VR Matkalla app.
